Ty is officially 2, now that we got to celebrate it with everyone. Planning a party is so much fun but getting everything ready and all set up is exhausting! I seriously could have taken a nap last night before everyone arrived. Thankfully, my sister came over to help set it up and then my parents brought carry outs from the Hecker picnic for supper. So everything and everybody was all ready by 7pm.
The birthday boy greeting his guests.
Take a look at our Monkey Jungle! I'll be taking you right into the party :)
Come on in...
Going into the Kitchen
Hawaiian Punch, Tea, and Banana Slush
Snacks, Cupcakes, and some of the Ice Cream toppings
Cupcakes and Ty's monkey cake.
Becky, that I work with, made Ty's cake and the chocolate cupcakes. I made the yellow ones and me and my Mom stayed up untill 11pm on friday night making the monkey cookies for the top of the cupcakes.
Once everyone was there, it was time to open presents. I wasn't sure what this was going to be like this yeaand it was pretty much the same as last year. Cadin opened most of Ty's present because he wanted to play with the first thing he got.
This was the mistake. I shouldn't have given him the Thomas Trains first. Everytime I tried to get another present Ty would say "No, my choo-choo."
I got him to open a few others, but he was still very concerned about his choo-choos.
More choo-choos
Things are turning into a mess fast. Look at Ty watching Cadin open up his presents and not caring at all.
Aunt Amanda redid Ty's letters to match his new room. LOVE THEM!
After the livingroom was trashed and toys covered the floors, we went to the kitchen to sing "Happy Birthday." I have no pictures of this to share with you because Amanda took them with her camera and I didn't think to download them last night. Ty wasn't impressed with the singing(and I thought we did a great job, lol). Nor did he care to blow out his candles. He was ready to get back to all his new toys. Colby was glad to help him out and blow out his candles.
This is what he could wait to get back to. My Dad gave him the tractor last yeat for his birthday and this year he gave him the wagon. Ty and Colby took turns driving and riding.
Ty and Cadin are playing with the new trains. You can tell Ty is saying "choo-choo"
Then we had a little bowling tournament. It was a little dangerous if we were sitting close by.
See what I mean? I wish I could turn this pic.
It was getting late, so it was time to put on monkey pj's.
