Tell the Truth Tuesday

See I can do this...2 weeks in a row! I shouldn't be asking for any awards yet, but I am proud that I made the time to blog.
So on with it....

I have had this nice picture frame hanging up in our basement for 2 months now and still haven't put any pictures in it. I kind of like the ones of those people I don't know :) I actually am doing a Cardinal Theme(big surprise) in here. My plan is to fill it with some fun family pics of us at the ballgames. I just need to pick out some from last year, this year and then I will most likely pull out some oldies.

I only wash our bedsheets once a month. Now before you go and think we are gross people, let me plead my case. Josh and I always shower at night, so if we are clean our sheets should be clean. Right? I love crawling into freshly washed bedding but it seems so silly to wash them weekly when they don't get dirty. I do wash Ty's sheets every week because well little boys are always dirty, lol.

I was totally the "mean mom" this weekend when I made Ty ride the rides at the picnic friday night. I thought by having my cousins with him he would be okay, but not so much. I just kept telling him he had to stay on.

This picture will forever make me laugh! The look on his face....LOL! And a big Thanks to Lynne for doing it with him, especially since there was water sitting at the bottom of the slide and she got a wet butt outta it all.
F.Y.I. Saturday night he LOVED the rides. Why would one night change this?  Here is a pic to prove it.

Here is one more for everyone....disclaimer*This may contain TMI*
Everytime I have to sneeze I pray to Baby Jesus that I won't wet my pants. It has happened and I don't know what to do about it. I am just hoping it will go back to normal once I don't have a baby pressing on my bladder.

Tell the Truth Tuesday

So I am nowhere near a computer on Friday so I never participate in all the Confession Friday blogging. I thought that I should do my part, since I do read everyones secrets. I can't promise that you will see one of these every tuesday but I will try my best.

I wanted a nice cold one for the first time this pregnancy on saturday night. I don't really miss drinking but if there weren't so many people around I probably would have snuck one down.

The main reason I had to buy some new bras was that I actually broke the underwire in two of mine. Like just snapped in half. I thought I popped a rib at first!

I have pushed off so many things that I want to get accomplished until after we got back from vacation and now I don't want to do any of them. Maybe if I list them on here and you all keep asking me if they're done it will give me the motivation get on it.
-Get Ty off the paci. He only uses it at nap and bedtime, but I seriously think it is his BFF.
-Buy Ty's new bedding
-Paint Ty's new room and furniture
-I would like to start potty training Ty. I know it is early but I figured its worth a shot, right?
Thats enough for now, if I get most of this done this summer I will be in great shape!

In November we will have owned our house for 5 years and I still have naked walls. This makes me crazy! I know what I want to do on most of them but its hard to find the time for the DIY projects.

I will not make it through this pregnancy without telling everyone our baby's name. I have come so close to slipping tons of times.

Okay, that is enough for now and I will try my best to keep this up!

Vacation 2011

Everyone has gotta get away right? YEP! We left last friday night for Branson, Mo. Just a quick 4 day trip to take it easy. And thats exactly what we did! I'm mean really, how much can you actually do with an almost 2 year old. So here is a vacay review.
We left friday around 4 and after a stop for supper and running into construction the Voss' and Ruhmann's made it safely there in 6 hrs. Way too long for a kid in a carseat! Checked in and went to the room to discover that we had two master bedrooms. BONUS! Josh and I have never slept in a king size bed and, boy oh boy, am I super jealous of everyone who owns one now! Ah.Mazing! Too bad we couldn't have any other furniture in our bedroom if we moved one of those bad boys in. Not to mention that I spent a sick amount on our lovely Hotel Collection bedding from Macy's. I guess we will be sleeping queen style for awhile.
Saturday morning after breakfast I got Ty all ready to hit the pool. We walked to the club house and found out the outdoor pool was closed due to some people having too good of a time the night before. So I took my greasy sunscreen coaked child to the indoor pool.
He was excited to see the pool and liked swimming around but only stayed interested in all this for about an hour and it was old news.
Saturday afternoon we were getting ready to go to the Sights and Sounds Theather for the production of Noah the Musical, when we got a text informing us that our newest family member had arrived.
Meet Levi Nathaniel Nagel! A big Congratulations to my cousin Scott, his wife Ginger and of course big brother Kaleb!
In all our excitement we managed to get to the show on time and it was great! Ty enjoyed the singing and seeing all of the animals. After the show we dined at Mountain Mike's Steakhouse and we back to the condo.
Sunday we decided to try the outdoor pool again. PTL, it was open and it was awesome! After swimming and lunch Ty went down for a nap and the girls left to go shopping. I had some major necessities that were calling my name. This preggo needed some new bras. Seriously....I don't remember things changing so much with Ty, but guess what?!!?!? TWO, yes, TWO SIZES! Oh no, I am only half there! Where am I going to put these things?! I also managed to find a decent dress to wear to Jen and Andrew's wedding in 1 week. It would not be something that I would normally buy, so hopefully I can pull it off.
The Men/Boy met us at the Reebok outlet for some serious shoe shopping. Josh hasn't bought a new pair of tennis shoes since I have known him! This makes me crazy, so I insisted that he would be getting shoes. They were having a buy one get one 50% off sale. Perfect! Here is what we came home with.
I got new shoes for work, Ty got his next pair of shoes and the ones after that, and Josh, well these are probably the last pair of tennis shoes he will ever purchase. Seriously. 4 pair for approx $125!
Monday was another day of swimming and shopping.
Tuesday we were up early and ready to go boating.
Ty loved driving the boat and tooting the horn. We even drove into Arkansas, so Ty can add a State to his list. It still counts, even though he was sleeping through most of it, right?
We packed up tuesday night and we on our way home wednesday morning after breakfast. The ride home went surprisingly well. Thanks to the genius that invented portable DVD players!

We had a nice relaxing time and I am sorry that I don't have more pics in this blog. Again, Aunt Amanda was along and I got camera lazy. Keep an eye out on FB, I am sure she will be putting them on there!

Our Voss Weekend Extravaganza

We had a busy but wonderful Memorial weekend and I wanted to blog about it sooner but now this week had turned into a crazy busy one too! So instead of typing a long wordy blog, I will tell it to you with mostly pictures! Its more fun anyways! Friday night we went out for super and had family time at home. No pictures needed :) Saturday night we went to my cousins graduation party in Millstadt. We had a wonderful night and Ty loved playing with the big kids outside all night. Mom was too busy running after him to take pics.
On sunday we had NO PLANS! Wow, that almost never happens and it was a good feeling. Ty on the other hand was upset that we were just going to stay home.

So after that crabby kid got a nap we thought we would go play at the Lutheran School playground.
(How do you stinkin flip these?!?!?)
Ty was rather bored and thought that a stick was much more exciting that anything else that was there.
Here is his new favorite pose.

He loves hanging on things.

While we were at the playground we spotted this at Josh's cousin, Chad's house. We decided we needed to go check this out.

When we got there, this thing was packed with kids and Ty didn't want any part of it.

But as the kids all started to leave, we decided to test it out. Gavin and Kylie were having fun showing Ty what to do.

He loved this!
Tara even helped him go down the slide!

After the mean Mom made him get out because his diaper was falling off. He went back to playing with this car that Aunt Jeanie found. Here he is helping Loreli out. Aunt Jeanie and Tara insisted that Ty take this car home, otherwise it would end up in our driveway. Ty has ready put some miles on it since its made it way to White Oak.

On Monday morning Aunt Amanda and Grandma called to see if we wanted to go to the Cardinals game. We had some free passes from Ty's Kid Crew membership. This was Ty's first official Cardinals game.

I didn't get to many pictues of this, well because Aunt Amanda was along and she always takes pictures so Mom gets lazy. We had a great time even though the cards lost.

Dad took off on tuesday, which is a rare thing. I thought we should do something fun, so off to the zoo.
We borrowed a Zoo Card from a family friend and scored free parking! We also got into the children's zoo free, which I was happy that we didn't pay to get into.

It took some time before Ty warmed up to the animals. He seemed to enjoy the water animals the most.

"Hey, look at this!"

We thought we would attempt the Carousel ride but I should have known better. I held Ty the entire time. Once it started moving he didn't even want to touch it. Oh well, it was free thanks to the ZC!
The peguins were the most popular animal by far. He loved the little ones splashing around. Josh wasn't thrilled when he got wet, but too bad!

We ended our day with a train ride. Ty loved it! We probably could have spent the whole day on that thing. And guess what... it was free too! The only we had to pay for was our lunch and we got a discount on that with the ZC!

Here's my baby giving his best "CHOO CHOO"

And of course an attempt at a family pic. Not the greatest but I don't care because we had a great day!

So that its for our crazy long weekend. Now I need to stop blogging and start getting ready for our next long weekend/week. Happy Packing!
